QUEEN ISABEL I
The Queen Isabel of Castile was born in the 22 April 1451 and she died in the 26 November of 1504,she was also known as Isabella the Catholic,was queen of Castile and León (Crown of Castile). She and her husband, Ferdinand II of Aragon, brought stability to the kingdoms that became the basis for the political unification of Spain.
After a struggle to claim her right to the throne, she reorganized the governmental system, brought the crime rate to the lowest it had been in years, and unburdened the kingdom of the enormous debt her brother had left behind. Her reforms that she made with her husband had an influence that extended well beyond the borders of their united kingdoms. Isabella and Ferdinand are known for completing the "Reconquest". They supported and finaced the Christopher colombus´s trip in 1492 leding to the opening of the new world. In most instances, she was more influential than her husband. Isabel recived the title of Servant of god by the Catholic Church in 1974.
Isabel: I was born in Madrigal de las Altas Torres.
-It was dificult ruling at the age of 18 years in Sicily?
Isabel: It was really difficult and stressful, but with the passage of time everything becomes easier
-your husband is Ferdinand of Aragon, but you are cousins, how did you get married ?
Isabel: We get married with a papal bull signed Pope Callistus.
-When and where you were crowned?
Isabel: I was crowned on December 13, 1474 in the church of San Miguel, Segovia.
-Did you help Christopher Colombus when he asked for help to discover the New World?
Isabel: Yes I helped him in his expedition, and I am glad for doing that, because he had discovered a new route to the Indias.
-His daughter, Juana is nicknamed "crazy", why?
Elizabeth: Yes, she became crazy because she love her husband, Philip the Fair a lot. But who is not crazy about love?

Isabel I: The twenty three years old new queen
She will stop playing with dolls, to play with our country.
Isabel I is going to rule our country at the age of tweny three years old after been Queen consort of Sicily in 1469, at the age of eighteen years old.
She is going to be queen because her brother died in 1468 at the age of 12 years old and as well Enrique IV of castile.
She is going to start rulling tomorrow the 13 of decembre of 1474 in Segovia.
We had interviewed she and she told us tha she thought that she is going to rul better than her antecessors. She spoke very confident, we will see if she is going to continue like that in her reign.
This is one of the things that she told us: "I will assume the undertaking for my own crown of Castile , and am ready to pawn my jewels to defray the expenses of it, if the funds in the treasury should be found inadequate.”

The 2004 Madrid train bombings (also known in Spain as 11-M) were nearly simultaneous, coordinated bombings against the Cercanías commuter train system of Madrid, Spain, on the morning of 11 March 2004 – three days before Spain´s general elections and two and a half years after the September 11 attacks in the United States. The explosions killed 191 people and wounded 1,800.The official investigation by the Spanish judiciary found that the attacks were directed by an al- Qaaeda inspired terrorist cell, although no direct al-Qaeda participation has been established. Though they had no role in the planning or implementation, the Spanish miners who sold the explosives to the terrorists were also arrested.
